Ridley Corporation Limited (ASX:RIC) is pleased to announce a new supply and distribution partnership with British Horse Feeds. Ridley will be the exclusive distributor of leading equine products ‘Speedi-Beet’ and ‘Fibre-Beet’ on behalf of British Horse Feeds throughout Australia and New Zealand.

The partnership covers the supply of Speedi-Beet and Fibre-Beet to retailers through to consumers, and compliments Ridley’s stable of equine products under the Barastoc brand. The products are ideal fibre sources for all horses and ponies, and particularly those that are prone to Laminitis and EGUS (Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome). Manufactured in Northern England, the products use a single origin beet pulp grown under strict growing conditions to ensure premium quality.

Ridley Managing Director and CEO Tim Hart commented “We are thrilled to announce this new partnership, and are excited to add these highly regarded products to the Barastoc product offering. They are used extensively throughout the world, and we are excited to be able to combine our local knowledge and expertise with that of an internationally renowned business like British Horse Feeds.”

British Horse Feeds is the equine feed division of I’Anson Brothers Ltd., which is a fifth generation family owned business that have been operating in North Yorkshire since 1900. They were awarded the Queens Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category for the development of their Speedi-Beet product. Will I’Anson, Sales Director from British Horse Feeds, stated “we are very excited about our new supply and distribution partnership with Ridley. Our well known fibre feeds Speedi-Beet & Fibre-Beet fit very well with the Barastoc stable of feeds. Their dedicated professional staff, nutritional expertise and wide supply network, ensure we continue to offer sound advice and consistent supply to our loyal and new customers throughout Australia and New Zealand.”

The agreement, which is effective immediately, has been very well received by the wider trade and will support the overall Barastoc equine growth strategy.
